LOVE, LOSS & WAR is a short experimental novel about three generations of womxn affected by the Yugoslav civil war (1991- 2001). The book moves between time periods and character perspectives, but always returns to the authors candid, brash and sentimental voice that rises from the gnarly millennial subcultures of London and Berlin. Literary prose, personal essays, philosophy, and teenage confessions are woven together reflecting on love, sex, violence, death, pain, and joy. Through the authors personal perspectives, humour, and critical thought, LOVE, LOSS & WAR grapples with a difficult paradox: while we have no means of measuring suffering, some people, groups and nations suffer more than others, and yet, everyone suffers.
